Recently, something was brought to our attention.
A restaurant approximately 1,380 miles away, thoughtfully let us know that, they too, possessed the name KOMODO.
They humbly (and strongly) suggested that we change the name of our establishment as to not infringe on the identity of their endeavor. Our ownership and staff are known for our hospitality, adaptability, and resourceful thinking. Our loyal customers have come to expect this from us through our excellent service and innovative menu curation.


We are all too happy to continue this attitude in situations like this. So, our name is changing. The rest stays the same.

At Modoko we re-create classic dishes from Vietnam, China and Thailand using fresh ingredients for the modern local palate. We have a large covered patio, multiple rooms for private events with seating up to 60 and a chef's table with a view of our open kitchen.

Fresh CuisineWe are a scratch kitchen dedicated to fresh ingredients.

Our scratch kitchen policy highlights our passion for authentic Asian food. Our full bar features cocktails with hand-squeezed juices. We have 15 taps featuring local beers and ciders. Our wine list includes many different wines from a wide variety of regions.

Our food is à la carte and is meant to be shared. There are so many different flavors on our menu so we recommend that our guests order a few different dishes to really get a chance to experience the many different flavor profiles.

The dishes are served à la carte and family style, perfect for sharing with a small group, thus allowing everyone an opportunity to try a number of different items. The momentum and joy of sharing plates and conversation is undoubtedly my favorite way of dining, a gesture of goodwill as you crisscross chopsticks and utensils while laughing and making eye contact - a holistic and meaningful way to dine.

Modoko (formerly Komodo Modern Asian Cuisine) was recently honored with two awards at the 2018 Best of Northwest Arkansas gala, hosted by the Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. In their first year as a contestant, Modoko was voted "Best Asian Food" as well as "Best New Restaurant".
